Welcome to our website! Perhaps you are here because you are looking for a new church home or you’re simply curious about us. Whatever the reason, we’re thankful you’re here. If you are looking for a new church home because you are new to this area, or you’ve never belonged to a church before, or if you are thinking about a change from your current congregation, we would like to help, because we believe a good church home is essential for your continued growth in grace. Regardless of your situation, I encourage you to spend some time exploring our website. It is our hope that it will give you some idea of who we are and our heart for the Lord, His people and the ministries to which He calls us. We believe you will also find resources on this site that will encourage your spiritual growth.
Even though our website conveys basic information about us well, it will not give you a complete picture of who we are and what God is doing in the midst of Christ Covenant Presbyterian Church. So you are cordially invited to visit us Sunday morning at 7801 West 34th Ave, Amarillo, TX. We have a brief coffee time at 9:30 A.M., followed by Sunday School classes for all ages from 9:45-10:45 A.M. Our morning worship service is at 11:00 A.M., and then our evening worship service is at 6:00 P.M. You are also welcome to attend any of our Shepherding groups that meet monthly in members’ homes, as well as the various weekly Bible studies for men, women and teenagers. We would love for you to join us as we seek to glorify God and enjoy Him in every area of our lives.
Perhaps you have no idea how you arrived at our site. If that is the case, I’m thankful you found us. I do encourage you to contact me if you have any questions about the Christian faith; any questions about the specific doctrines or practices of Reformed churches; or any questions about the Bible’s message of forgiveness of our sins through the work of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This is the one message that shows us how to resolve the issue of man’s rebellion against God. The Bible teaches that all of us deserve God’s punishment for our apathy, defiance or unbelief directed toward Him. Scripture also reveals the great news that God Himself has provided a way for us to escape His just wrath, and that way is through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. For all who repent of their sin and trust Christ Jesus alone to rescue them from God’s coming judgment there is pardon, forgiveness, peace with God and the glories of eternal life. However for all who ignore or reject Jesus Christ, all who refuse to submit to Him as Lord and Savior, there is no escape from the certain wrath of God to come and the sentence of eternal death. I would love to show you the Bible’s message that God delights to give sinners new hearts of true repentance and true faith in Jesus Christ, gifts which radically change us from those who were His enemies into His reconciled friends, and even more, His adopted “sons and daughters!”
